We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Black Yield Institute is a Baltimore-based power institution cultivating self determination through Black Land and Food Sovereignty. Since 2015 our organization has been nurturing a vibrant community farm, supplying locally grown produce and educating the next generation of farmers. For some families in Baltimore, the cabbage and swiss chard grown at our farm is the only fresh produce they can purchase in their neighborhood. In 2019, we harvested more than 11,000 pounds of food for families, elders and other black farms.
Now we need your help to expand our farm operations so we can keep growing more food. This campaign will fund the expansion of our garden beds, a new post harvest wash station, and compost bins. You have the opportunity to grow the land that provides fresh produce, farmer training and jobs to the people of Baltimore.
A fellow grassroots supporter has promised to match $1 for $1 up to $10,000 for all new gifts made by April 15. The 2021 Spring FWD Matching Gift Campaign doubles your donation in impact to support our farm operations and get even more families, growing food, sharing meals, and making connections.
From all of us at Black Yield, we thank you for your continued support of our work toward Black land and food sovereignty.
